MEDICAL PROBLEMS:  If your child is unable to consume a food component because of medical or other special dietary need, the cafeteria will be glad to make substitutions.  Such substitutions may be made only when supported by a statement signed by a recognized medical authority.  These statements must be kept on file.

CHARGING:  Students will not be allowed to charge a la cart items. They will need to have cash or money in their lunch account to purchase extra meals, entrees or snack items.

Pre-Pay for School Meals at family.schoolcafe.com  All students/parents may register with SCHOOL CAFE Online to be able to view account balances, monitor daily spending, or make online payments to your child/children’s cafeteria accounts from the convenience of your home 24/7.  Parents can setup reminders when their child/children’s account balance are getting low.  All payments made through school cafe can take one to two days before it shows in the school account, so please remember when making payments online that you must allow time for the school to receive the payment.  Payments with credit/debit cards can only be made by using our school cafe System.  School café charges a service fee to add money to the accounts. There is not a fee to monitor accounts. We encourage all parents to register with School Cafe to be able to monitor your child’s account.

Parents/students may also make cash/check payments at the school cafeteria 7:00am-1:00pm   CAFETERIAS DO NOT HAVE CREDIT CARD MACHINES!

MENUS: Menus will be posted each month on the Kountze ISD website page under the Food Services page and through parent square for Elementary and Intermediate campuses. If you would like a printed copy sent home with your child, please contact the school.

Media Release: Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

The Kountze ISD announced today it will operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2026-2027school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.
